When Zane Lackey and Nick Galbreath failed to find a viable security solution for Etsy’s agile development workflow and continuous deployment, they took matters into their own hands and built their own solution. The groundbreaking security framework they created at Etsy was immediately praised as a major advance in the Information Security industry. Acting on this feedback, they secured Seed and Series A funding and quietly created Signal Sciences. After spending more than a year refining their flagship product, the time came to get the word out in a big way.
Signal Sciences reached out to Grizzly for support in pulling back the curtains on the product they had built behind closed doors. Despite being a new player in the highly competitive web security space, they needed to swiftly establish themselves as the clear solution. To distinguish them as the standout, we worked with them to reveal the nature of the company in their new brand voice and tone and, in doing so, built the engine to power an updated, diverse suite of messaging and marketing collateral. Finally, we used that framework to design and develop a fully custom flat-file marketing website that resonates loudly with both existing and new markets. Zane and Nick lived the frustration of finding a security solution firsthand before building Signal Sciences;we modified their communication approach to lead with the same empathy and integrity that runs through the very fabric of their product.
The launch of the new brand outline and framework was met with almost immediate acclaim and success, as measured by registrations, web traffic, and sales conversions. Powered by their new messaging and an upgraded digital presence, they have increased their subscription base hand over fist, adding notable names such as Adobe and Vimeo to their esteemed roster of clients.
